Welcome to
Summer Self-Care!

What do you want to feel on Labor Day?
Now that my kids are out of the house and many days are spent in quiet and writing, my relationship with myself is critical. I sometimes spend the day with my own worst critic, or do battle with a part of myself that doubts and regrets. I want to create a relationship with myself that will build hope, optimism and resilience within.
Taking time daily to tap into my centered self is crucial for me. My center is calm, courageous, confident, curious and at peace. By taking daily quiet time and letting the world’s demands fall away, there is room for my centered self to speak.
She is wise and encouraging. Spending time with her is a gift. She will not shout at me above the din of busyness, and she is always there, ready to share as I am ready to listen.
My centered self is my inner guidance system. When I am cultivating that relationship, I can hear/feel with my heartsight what is good for me. When an opportunity arises, and my heart swells in confidence and energy, I know that’s a good place to go. Conversely, if my energy sinks (that gut feeling of your heart sinking into your stomach), I know it’s a no, thank you.
As a side note- Listening to your center reminds you that you have the right to be here, to take up space, and to thrive. You are important. The messages around you may not have always encouraged that, but it’s still the truth.
Be proud of who you are! Listen to your soul. Cultivate a living, loving relationship with yourself.
